On Monday, the 25th of January 2016 at 11:00 a.m., Assist. Prof. Dr. Hogir Tahir Tofiq, Head of the Department of History, presented a seminar about The Exodus of Kurds During and After the First World War at the Seminar Hall of the Faculty of Humanities at the University of Zakho. The source material was mainly taken from the first Kurdish newspaper Kurdistan from the years 1918 till 1920 and the Kurdish weekly magazine Jîn. At the end of the seminar, constructive debates were conducted between the presenter and the participants, including lecturers and students from the Department of History.
